Castellers de Vilafranca are celebrating this February 2020 the ordinary General Assembly and the extraordinary General Assembly to elect the new Board of Directors.

theOrdinary General Assembly will be held on Saturday February 1, 2020 in Cal Figarot – Carrer General Prim, 11 – at 5 in the afternoon, in the first and only call.

On the other hand, the gang is about to end the current mandate that started last February 5, 2016 and in accordance with what is established in the second point of article 15 of the Statutes of the Castellers de Vilafranca, they convene elections to elect a new Board of Directors. These elections will take place next Saturday 8 February 2020 in Cal Figarot at 5 pm.

The application period began on January 9, 2020 at 5 p.m. and will end on January 24, 2020 at 5 p.m.

So, the planned schedule for the election of a new Head of Colla, president and the rest of the Board of Directors will be as follows:

  • January 9-24. Period for submitting candidacies.
  • February 1 Ordinary General Assembly, at the end of the mandate.
  • February 8 Extraordinary General Assembly, to elect the new Board of Directors.
As marked by the current legal regulations of the Generalitat and contained in the Statutes of Castellers de Vilafranca, they can only vote at the extraordinary General Assembly to elect the new Head of Colla, president and the other members of the Board of Directors, members of the organization who are up to date and have at least one year of seniority in the group.

The Castellers de Vilafranca remember that presence and participation in the Assemblies is important in order to make the Vilafranca institution stronger.
