Success in capital letters at the XIIIth edition of the Pedalada Verda by gathering more than 500 people on Saturday afternoon through the streets of Vilafranca

 

Year after year, the popular walk organized by the Castellers de Vilafranca, the well-known Pedalada Verda, becomes an event marked on the calendar during the month of September in the capital of Penedès. The thirteenth edition, which took place last Saturday 22 September, brought together more than 500 people, including children and adults, who walked the streets of Vilafranca amid a festive and, above all, sustainable atmosphere.

As every year, the ride was organized on the occasion of Safe and Sustainable Mobility Week, which from last September 22nd to next September 29th aims to raise awareness among citizens about the use of sustainable means of transport. In addition, this year the Greens wanted to add a solidarity element to the Pedalada, since all participants had to bring food for the Solidarity Pantry of the Ressò de Vilafranca association at the time of registration.

La Pedalada Verda had Rambla de Sant Francesc as its departure and arrival point. Once all the participants had completed the circuit, they were able to enjoy a popular chocolate bar, in addition to the distribution of prizes and the raffle of a bicycle.
